His Pasture

Ps 100:3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.
The book of Psalms is an amazing book loaded with a tremendous amount of nuggets from God’s Word. In Psalm 100:3, the Bible tells us of some things we need to know.
First, we need to know that the LORD He is God. What a blessing it is to know that our God is above all and that He is the Lord of Lords and King of Kings! Even Dagon could not stand before the presence of God in the Ark of the Covenant.
Second, “it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people.”
The Bible tells us in Isaiah 43:7 that... “Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.”
We were created by Him and for Him. Our existence is to bring Him glory and honor. It is He that hath made us. What a blessing it is to know our Creator and the purpose for our existence!
Thirdly, “we are the sheep of his pasture.”
The phrase “Mother Nature” is a commonly used phrase amongst society. As Bible believers, we know that it is not “Mother Nature” but rather “Father God.” We live in God’s creation. It is His pasture, and we are to be faithful stewards of His pasture. The Bible says in Haggai 2:8 “The silver is mine, and the gold is mine, saith the LORD of hosts.”
Everything we have is the Lord’s. We are the sheep of His pasture, and we are to be thankful unto Him for all of His blessings.
Consider – “Some men live as if they made themselves; they call themselves ‘self-made men,’ and they adore their supposed creators.” (Spurgeon)
