Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Each day we make hundreds of choices. Often times, we make decisions based on habit, convenience, or safety. Are we missing opportunities to grow our faith? By looking at our circumstances as times to grow in the Lord, we see God working in our lives. When we pray and look to God to open and close doors, we can rest in His leading instead of taking control.
Our flesh can easily cause us to focus on fear rather than to focus on God and in His Word. Sometimes, the easy way out is to stay in our comfort zones and not move forward for the Lord. Each step of faith we take allows God to strengthen our faith and helps us to grow. We “go from strength to strength” as Psalms says.
Ps 84:7 They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.
How exciting life becomes, when we let go of the reigns and allow God to lead us! How reassuring it is to rest in His love and know that we are in His perfect will! When we don’t act in faith, but instead focus on our fears, we become trapped. The devil wants nothing more than for us as Christians to be paralyzed from fear.
2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
What step of faith is God presenting you with? Rather than focusing upon fear, let us choose to focus on God’s promises, to take the step of faith, and to see the goodness of God.
Ps 107:8 Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!
Consider – Tell me, and I’ll forget. Teach me, and I’ll remember. Involve me, and I’ll learn and grow.
