Ps 34:1 A Psalm of David, when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech; who drove him away, and he departed. I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
This verse can be challenging to live. It is easy to bless or thank God when times are good. But it is another story when we face trials or problems.
For example, you are on your way to work, and you go to get in the car, and it has a flat tire. For many of us, our natural reaction is, “Great, just what I didn’t need today. Now I will be late for work and have to pay to fix it."
If asked—“I will bless the LORD at all times: His praise shall continually be in my mouth”—is not what our flesh wants to do. We want to whine and complain. I have even considered how God could allow this to happen to me.
So, how do we apply this verse to our problems? Remember the words “Location, Location, Location.” Instead of focusing on the flat tire, look at WHERE the flat tire is! You're in your driveway, not on the road with cars driving by. You are safely at home, not in a bad part of town. You are near friends and family, not in a distant city where you know no one.
Focus on where God has allowed this to happen. If you do, you find it is easier to “bless the LORD at all times:”
Consider – Determine today that when problems come, remember “Location, Location, Location.”
