Joh 12:48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
It is the Word of God that will judge us in the last day. God’s Word is the expression of the mind of God. It is His Word that should guide our lives and every decision that we make.
Most of the things men and women talk about cannot be counted among the great realities of life. In October, people talk a great deal about the World Series as a great reality, but by December they have forgotten who pitched and who struck out. There are many topics that occupy our time and fill our minds. Many times God’s Word becomes neglected and pushed to the background.
Some people spend their entire lives in the pursuit of those things that can only perish and fade away. But when it is all over, they are still going to be faced with the reality of the eternal Word of God, the Revelation of Truth which God has given us!
Let’s be more determined to give God’s Word the priority that it deserves; lets read His Word and obey His Word.
Consider – The very Words that man rejects will stand as a witness against him.
