Ro 6:5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
The life of a Christian is much more than having a home in heaven when we die. So often, it is easy to become comfortable in our current state, enjoying the pleasures of life. When we study God’s Word, we see all throughout Scripture of how Jesus Christ died for our sins. The Bible teaches us that through the Blood of His cross we are saved.
Col 1:20, 22 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. 22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight:
With all of these important truths, it is only the beginning of the gospel. Not only did Jesus Christ shed His Blood on the cross of Calvary, but also the Bible says that after three days, He rose from the grave.
The Bible says in Romans 5:10, For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
It is a joyful thing to know that our sins are washed away in His Blood, and it is equally as important to remember that we have life because of His resurrection.
As new creatures in Christ, we are to yield ourselves unto God. We have been made alive. Now, it is time for us to yield our lives as instruments of righteousness unto God. No longer should we walk in darkness, but rather we should live in the light and life that He gives.
Ro 6:13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
Ro 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Consider – In our daily walk with the Lord, we know Jesus is with us as He upholds and strengthens us.
