Heb 6:9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
We have looked at the fact that there are certain things that automatically accompany salvation, and then from that point, we must grow as new babes in Christ. We talked about how our conduct will change, and we will have a desire to be in the House of God.
Today, I will mention four more things that will automatically accompany salvation. There will be a change of companions, there will be a desire to fellowship with God every day, there will be a desire to obey God, and there will also be a desire to share the gospel with others.
Salvation truly sets us on a new path.
This truth is stated very clearly by Paul in 2 Cor. 5:17, Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
The point is this—We are to live a new life, not so that others will say what a great person we are—but so they will say, what a great Saviour we serve.
For those of you who teach Sunday School, this may be a good series to share with your students. These lessons were taught to me by Dr. James Lee in 1969, and I wanted to share them with you.
Consider – The Holy Spirit did not expect the believers to fall away, and that they would do the works of God.
