Ro 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Being a Christian does not mean that we will go through this life on a bed of roses all the way to Heaven. As members of a fallen race, we are subject to sickness, accidents, and tragedies like everyone else. Also there will be an ongoing battle with Satan and our own sinful flesh.
As Christians we will not go through these valleys alone. The Lord has promised to be with us every step of the way. He sustains us through each trial, and He works in our behalf to bring good out of the most trying circumstances.
It may seem that difficulties would prevent us from being productive in the Lord’s service, but actually the opposite can be true. By the grace and power of God, our losses can be turned into great gain, and the outcome of our trials will become a blessing to others.
Even in our afflictions, God is working for our benefit. Overruling the bad to produce good is not a problem to our all-powerful God. Affliction can prepare ordinary Christians for extraordinary service.
Consider – Working Together means to create and eliminate, place and replace, connect and group, interrelate and intermingle, shape and forge, press and stretch, move and operate, control and guide, arrange and influence.
