Ex 23:20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared.

In giving Moses His laws and ordinances, the LORD said that He would provide His people with an Angel to bring them into the place which He prepared for them, the Promised Land. He details it in Deut. 8:7-9.

For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills;  a land of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a land of oil olive, and honey;  land wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass.

God calls this place the glory of all lands in Ezekiel 20:6. The Angel bringing them into that place was the Second Person of the Trinity, the Lord Jesus Christ; for God told Moses concerning the Angel:  My Name is in him (Ex. 23:21).

The night before His betrayal, Jesus told His disciples that He was going away and that they could not come, but they would follow Him later (Jn. 13:36).  Peter, full of anxiety asked, “Lord, whither goest thou?”

Jesus told him: In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also (John 14:2-3).

Here’s some details about that place:  And he carried me (John) away in the spirit to a great and high mountain, and shewed me that great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God, having the glory of God: (Rev. 21:10-11a). That’s just a preview!

If the Promised Land was the glory of all lands, just consider the glory of the city Christ is preparing. It will radiate with His glory!  Knowing what we do about our Mighty, Wonderful, magnanimous God—it is going to be a MAGNIFICENT PLACE!  In that place, we will see His face!

Glory, hallelujah! Believer, rejoice today that Jesus has gone to prepare a place for you!

Reflection—To have a prepared place, one must be prepared. By believing on the Builder.
