There’s A Battle

1Pe 5:8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
The enemy, Satan, cannot take saved ones to Hell, so he tries to hinder that life from being spiritually productive. He attempts to devour their zeal and testimony. Of course, he may reek much damage if we give him ground to do so.
Many have trusted Jesus as Saviour, but as babes in Christ, they’ve stayed in the nursery, never learning to stand on their own two spiritual feet—much less learning to successfully wage battle with the devil. Unless we choose to grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord, we most likely will become a casualty somewhere along the way.
Our salvation is already bought and paid for, by the grace of God, in the atonement of Jesus. But many believers have allowed satanic influences to ruin their testimony, and in many cases, they wind up in a spiritual ICU the rest of their days. A refusal to grow up and engage the enemy in the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God can result in a near fatal injury.
With the Lord’s help, we must refuse to let pride keep us from reconciling hurt feelings. If a believer finds himself in a dead or liberal church, flee! We need the pure Truth of God’s Word, preached and taught with passion and conviction as a regular part of our spiritual diet.
There are thousands of weapons in the enemy’s war chest. Satan hates God and the things of God. Satan’s primary purpose is to hinder the cause of Christ. Sadly, he has succeeded with his attacks on many.
We have been warned. There is a battle for the souls of mankind and for the disarming of Christian soldiers. With the Lord’s help, we can overcome the trials and temptations we face.
1Jo 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
Consider – Pray without ceasing, because Satan is preying without ceasing.
