The Way of Righteousness or Transgressors

Pr 12:28 In the way of righteousness is life; and in the pathway thereof there is no death.
Pr 13:15 Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.
Many people today claim that the Bible is hard to understand and needs to be rewritten. One response I have often heard to such statements is, “The Bible doesn’t need to be rewritten it needs to be reread.”
Personally, I am in agreement that this generation would benefit greatly from reading God’s Word and allowing the Holy Spirit to work in their lives. The simple, plain verses we read from the book of Proverbs are very easy to understand. The way of righteousness is life and the way of transgressors is hard. Essentially, life comes down to a choice between these two paths.
Jesus Christ the righteous (1 John 2:1) says in John 14:6, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
The opposite is the way of transgressors. The Bible says this is a hard path. A quick glance at an alcohol or drug user will give a real life example of this verse. A short stroll down a large city will reveal results of the hard path transgressions have taken.
We have a simple choice to make between these two paths—A life of following Christ yielded to the Holy Spirit, or a life of following self yielded to the flesh.
The Bible tells the end results and personal testimonies are consistent with these Biblical truths. May we choose the path of righteousness as we teach our children and the next generation to follow Christ because the way of transgressors is hard.
Pr 15:6 In the house of the righteous is much treasure: but in the revenues of the wicked is trouble.
Ps 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Reflection—We could learn from the weather; it pays no attention to criticism.
