Re 1:8 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.
In part one of this three part series, we looked at Jesus Christ in His present tense as the great “I AM” who “IS.”
In Revelation 1:8, the Bible says, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was.”
The Bible tells us in the gospel of John that the Word was in the beginning. Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Verse 14 gives clarity on who the Word was in the beginning. Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Revelation 19:13 gives further clarity. Re 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
From the very beginning of Creation, Jesus Christ was there. The first verse of the Bible tells us that “In the beginning God.” We serve a Saviour Who has always been and still is today standing in perfect righteousness and truth. The Creator of the Universe has always been and always will be.
The grave could not hold back the Creator of Life. The stone that was rolled in front of the tomb was spoken into existence by the One Who rolled it away.
The God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob is still the same true God today. What a joy it is to serve and live for the Lord Jesus Christ Who is and has always been!
