What Are We Living For

2Co 5:15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
Many people everywhere are looking and searching for purpose in their lives. Many seek fulfillment through a career, material possessions, education etc. The deceit of the devil has convinced generations that if they are able to achieve certain goals, they will be happy and fulfilled in life.
In 2 Corinthians 5:15, the Bible states that Jesus died for all and that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves. The verse concludes by saying “but unto him which died for them, and rose again.”
As born again Christians, we will never be fulfilled by living a life for self. The false notion that materialism will bring happiness only results in discontentment.
If we are living our lives unto ourselves, we are simply not living our lives in accordance to God’s will and purpose. On the contrary, when we yield and submit ourselves as a living sacrifice, we begin to find true purpose. Romans 12:1 describes this as a “reasonable service.”
May we prayerfully consider this verse and remember that He died for all so that all may live for Him through the power of His resurrection.
Php 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;
Consider—Bad things happen to good people. Bad things happen to bad people.
