Mission Trip Finale

Ted and I are back in the states and glad to be here.  We had a great time in India and Thailand, but there is no place like home.  I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and friendliness of Thailand.  We looked at some property in the northern part of the country.  It is about 2 or 3 acres with an active Church on the property.  Also on the property is a large two story house that is not being used.  It has been offered to us free of charge if we will open a children’s home.  The only thing we need now is a good couple to live in with the children as house parents.  Please pray with us about this need.

We had a wonderful time with the children in India and what a joy it was to take all 50 children shopping for new clothes.  We had a great end of the school year banquet and spent much quality time with the children.  Thank you for your prayers and gifts to make this trip possible.

Pr 18:14 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?

Solomon emphasizes that a strong, positive spirit contributes greatly to good health. The point is a much-needed message—a wounded spirit should concern us sometimes even more than a broken, diseased body.

Pr 17:22 A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.
Joh 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

Most people know what it is to have fair-weather friends—people who are near in life’s good times, but nowhere to be found when problems arise.  True friends are quite the opposite; they stay the course through all of life’s valleys no matter what the situation. When trouble confronts us, it is then that we find out who our true friends are.

We should avoid the selfish attitudes and hurtful words that hinder our relationships with others.  To the contrary, we should love one another.  There is only one action that will resolve issues between friends: Forgiveness.  We forgive others not because they deserve it, but because we remember how much God has forgiven us.

Consider – Forgiveness to others is necessary, but it only becomes a need because we have been hurt or wronged in some way.
