Ps 45:4 And in thy majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; and thy right hand shall teach thee terrible things.
God’s Word is an amazing book and everything in it points to Jesus Christ. In Psalm 45:4, the writer uses the phrase, “ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness.”
One of the greatest verses in the Bible on prosperity is found in Joshua.
Jos 1:8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
True prosperity is related to the Word of God, and God’s Word is inseparable from Jesus Christ. John 1:1-14
Our text verse goes on to say “because of truth.” Jesus says in John 14:6, “...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”
The verse in Psalm 45 also includes “and meekness.” Meekness is a word Paul uses in 2 Corinthians to describe Jesus Christ.
2Co 10:1 Now I Paul myself beseech you by the meekness and gentleness of Christ, who in presence am base among you, but being absent am bold toward you:
The last word is “righteousness.” 1 John 2:1 tells us, “My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:”
A lost and dying world is seeking prosperity, hope, and peace. People are searching for answers from worldly sources and modern methods of technology. As ambassadors for Christ, may we recognize our mission to reconcile people to Christ—the True Word Who is meek and righteous.
One can simply not ride prosperously apart from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Ps 35:27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
Consider – When the Lord returns, He will ride prosperously over His enemies.
