Fellowhelpers To The Truth

3 John 8 We therefore ought to receive such, that we might be fellowhelpers to the truth.
One specific prayer request that Jesus had was to pray that the Lord would send forth laborers for the harvest. “The harvest truly is plenteous, but the labourers are few;” He says in Matthew 9:37.
Some churches across the United States are closing their doors because complacent Christians are not willing to be fellowhelpers in the ministry. Pulpits are vacant, pews are barren, and prayer altars haven’t been used in years. We see the result in our streets, cities, and prisons.
We have the truth of the Word of God and the commission from our Saviour to go forth bearing precious seed. Modern Christianity hides behind the excuse of not being called when we have a clear command to preach the gospel to every creature. Pastors and churches are in need of honest men who are qualified to teach the Word of God and serve as deacons.
The Bible teaches that we have spiritual gifts and these gifts are to be used for the work of the ministry. The world is dark and in need of the Truth of God’s Word. May we submit today to the command of our Lord and Saviour and be fellowhelpers to the truth.
2Co 6:1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
Consider – One can have a part by going or have a part by helping, but everyone has a part and should do it well.
