UPDATE
I have not had access to the internet lately. The next two days I will have no access to the internet. I will be traveling from Thailand to Japan to Los Angeles.  If I do have any internet I will send out the Devotion.  Thank you for your prayers.

I got to know our newest boy, he is 14 years old.  He comes from a very difficult situation.  His father murdered his mother and cut her up and stuffed her into bags to dispose of her body.  He was caught and is now in prison.  This young man is going through a very difficult time.  We enjoyed visiting with all the children last night.  We did a FaceTime call to the Children’s Home in Costa Rica.  The Costa Rican children could see and hear us and we could see and hear them.  This is the first time we have done this and the children and staff loved meeting each other.

Ps 9:9 The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble.
Ps 34:18 The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

God cares about the oppressed and will be a refuge for those who are downhearted and oppressed.  He sees the suffering of His sheep, and He hears their desperate cries.  The Lord is their refuge—their shelter, fortress, stronghold, and high tower.

We know the Lord’s record of faithfulness:  He has never—not one time in history—forsaken His people.  When we seek Him, He will be found.  When we inquire of Him, He will answer us.  When we flee to Him for refuge, He will shelter us.  When we depend on Him, He will provide for us.  When we need Him, He will be there.

If you are going through a difficult time right down, I encourage you to seek the Lord. He is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother and will stay by you in the good times and the bad times.

Heb 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
