Ps 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

A friend sent me an article about a man who was driving home from work, and his car started to sputter and die. He made it to a gas station before it died.  While waiting for a tow truck, he noticed a woman coming out of a convenient store crying.  She slipped and fell into a gas pump.  He went over to see if he could be of help, and he noticed the woman looked bad and had dark circles around her eyes.  She dropped something, and he reached down to pick it up – it was a nickel.

At that moment, everything came into focus for the man: the crying woman, the ancient Suburban crammed full of stuff with 3 kids in the back (1 in a car seat), and the gas pump reading $4.95.  She had spent her last money to buy gas.

He asked her if she was okay and if she needed help, and she just kept saying 'I don't want my kids to see me crying!”  She said her husband had left her, and she was driving to California to stay with her parents until she got back on her feet.  She was praying for God’s help.  The man said, “God heard your prayers, and He sent me.”

The man filled her car with gas, walked to McDonald’s and bought two bags of food and several gift cards and gave her some cash.  He prayed with her and waved to them as they left.  He went back to his car and it started right up.  He thanked the Lord that God has pulled him aside to be a blessing to that family.

Yes God uses angels, but sometimes He uses regular people who are willing to be used of God.

Consider – I pray that all of us will be willing to be used of God to be a blessing to others.
