Col 3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Thankfulness should be the center of every Christian’s life. We have so much to be thankful for. God loved us while we were yet sinners. He saved us, wrote our names in the Book of Life. He provides for us, and He will one day welcome us to His eternal city.
Genuine thankfulness is marked by a desire to express itself with more than words. We want to give something in return—not as a payment for a debt, but as gratitude for an unspeakable gift.
Yes, we want to thank Him with our lips, but true thankfulness will be seen in how we live, how we serve, and how we obey Him Who loved us and gave Himself for us.
Being thankful is not an annual event for the Christian; it is a way of life. May we rededicate ourselves to living each day as a THANKFUL child of God.
Consider – God will accept no person apart from Christ, not even to offer thanksgiving and praise.
