Isa 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
These are troubling times. Sometimes it becomes almost unbearable. Economic instability, legal approval of immorality, teenagers killing their classmates in school, a government that is becoming more and more anti-Christian, and the list goes on and on.
It is hard to understand; but all of this is taking place in a country that started out as a Christian nation.
There are definitely times when life seems unbearable. Physical pain, difficult decisions, financial problems, death of a loved one—all of these problems threaten to engulf us.
When you know the Lord as your Saviour, in Him we have a place to come when the storms of life are raging. In Christ, we can experience peace and calmness in the midst of the storms—not because of our strength, but because of His strength, His presence, and His promises.
If you are overwhelmed today, fix your mind on the Lord. Ask for His help. Trust Him, and He will give you peace in your storm.
Consider – As the old song says, “When the storms of life are raging, stand by Me [Jesus].”
