Es 2:7 And he brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter: for she had neither father nor mother, and the maid was fair and beautiful; whom Mordecai, when her father and mother were dead, took for his own daughter.

When we think of Queen Esther, we can think of many adjectives to describe her. She was beautiful, gracious, humble, kind, and loyal. She quickly rose from an obscure orphan to a royal queen in a position of leadership. She went from living in her cousin’s home to ruling a powerful nation.

Pr 22:29 Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.

Esther must have taken to heart all that she was taught about the Lord. When the time was right, God led her into the king’s presence.

With Esther’s leadership position came great responsibility.

Lu 16:10 He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: and he that is unjust in the least is unjust also in much.

Great leaders are faithful in the small tasks, as well as, in the large tasks.

Lu 12:48 But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes. For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more.

When we are faithful in the small things, God can trust us with greater things.

As her people faced a catastrophe, Esther was prepared and ready to take action.

Es 4:16 Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.

Esther‘s character and preparation throughout her life allowed her to handle the responsibilities that came with the position that God led her into.

Pr 31:17 She girdeth her loins with strength, and strengtheneth her arms.

Consider – What are we doing today to be prepared for the positions that God would have us serve in?

Smiley –  Maybe if we start telling people their brain is an app, they’ll want to use it.
