John Adams (1st Vice President & 2nd President) wrote that the Day of Independence, “will be the most memorable Epocha, in the History of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty … from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more.”
Six Principles of the Judeo-Christian Ethic established in our country. These are Un-ALIEN-able rights.
(Incapable of being repudiated or transferred to another.) NOBODY CAN put a lien on the rights that come from God.
#1 – The Dignity Of Human Life
• Ge 9:6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
#2 – The Traditional Monogamous Family
• Ge 2:22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man. 23 And Adam said, This [is] now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. 24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
#3 – A National Work Ethic
• 2Th 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.
Ingrained deep within the spirit of the men & women who founded this country was the willingness & the desire to give an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay. This independent spirit has no desire to simply exist on handouts from government or to depend on the generosity of others.
#4 – The Right To A God-Centered Education
• Eph 6:4 And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
• Pro 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
#5 – Common Decency
• Mt 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second [is] like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
#6 – Our Personal Accountability To God
• Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Consider – Pray for the LORD to restore honorable leadership to our country.
