Without the Shedding of Blood

Hebrews 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
John 20:17 Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
When Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and found it empty, except for the grave clothes, she was weeping because she knew not where the body had been laid. She turned around and saw Jesus but didn’t know Him. When He called her name, she heard His voice, recognized Him, and tried to touch Him. He had not yet ascended and could not be touched.
Jesus had taken off His fleshly robe of humanity, and like the grave clothes, laid them aside in the tomb. When Mary tried to touch him, He said “Touch me not” because He now wore His Royal Priestly Robes and was going to the Father with His own Blood to spread on the Mercy Seat before the Throne of God!
John McArther said there was nothing special about the Blood of Christ. When it splattered on the soldiers as they nailed him to the cross, it did not save them. And that is true, but he was wrong about the Blood.
I don’t know how Christ did it, but He gathered His Blood that was shed and took it back to heaven with Him. As my Hight Priest, He placed that precious Blood on the Mercy Seat for my sin!
“What can wash away my sin,
Nothing but the blood of Jesus
Oh, precious is the blood…”
Reflection—The precious Blood of Jesus is the only solution to your sin problem.
