Where Has the Time Gone?

Job 7:6 My days are swifter than a weaver’s shuttle, and are spent without hope.
We are moving toward eternity at an alarmingly fast rate. Our days and opportunities to live for the Lord and labor for Him are passing so rapidly that we cannot afford to waste time.
We need to say like Moses in Psalm 90, “teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.”
This morning I was talking with a friend about how quickly the time has passed. We talked about people and events that happened what seemed like only a few years ago, when in reality, they happened over 30 years ago.
Whatever we are going to do for the Lord, whoever we need to witness to must be done quickly for the night cometh when no man can work. How we spend our time now, determines how we will spend eternity.
Reflection—Though we number money, properties, children, grandchildren, and a host more, the math to number our days seems most difficult. Perhaps man feels his days are infinite.
