Ephesians 5:15-16 See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
Time is a priceless gift from God. This priceless gift should be used wisely, for one day we will have to give an account of how we used the gift.
The president of a Christian college entered the chapel service one morning with a sad look on his face. Following the hymn, he stood up to speak to the student body. He said, “I have just received a telephone message bearing bad news. A fine young man who graduated from this school 3 years ago has died suddenly.”
A hush fell over the audience. Scanning the students, the president asked, “If all you desire to do, if all you hope to do, had to be crowded into 3 short years, what would you do differently today?”
Time is the dressing room for eternity. How are we using it? May each of us use the example of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who said, “I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. (John 9:4)
Reflection—Jesus knew His day was short, three brief years to do the work of God. How many hours left in your day, and how will you use them?
