The Unified Church Glorifies God

1 Corinthians 12:18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
All of us at one time or another have felt less gifted or not as talented as others in our church. Such feelings are false and untrue. The body is not one significant member, but many members. Every person who truly belongs to the body of Christ (the church) is significant and important to God and has a gift and function in the body.
When I listen to a choir sing, my heart is truly blessed as I hear the wonderful harmony. The sopranos, altos, tenors, and basses – all in unison – join in one powerful voice to praise and glorify God. As a new Christian I got so excited when I would hear the choir sing that I decided to try out for the choir. After hearing me sing the choir director suggested that I was probably gifted in some other area. Yes, I was a little disappointed, but that is when I learned that we are not all gifted in the same area. But we are all on the same team.
We all have different gifts and talents from the Lord that we are to use for His honor and glory. What a joy it is as I travel to different churches each week, to see Christians working together, blending their talents together to glorify God. That kind of unity brings honor and glory to God. Don’t worry about the talent that someone else has; we are all in the same “Choir” and glorifying the same Lord.
Reflection—In the design, we see the wisdom of the Designer—everybody has something, but nobody has everything.
