Psalm 18:2 The LORD is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.
We live in a difficult and dangerous time period. Every day we read in the newspapers and watch the news about random shootings, terrorist activities, robbery, and murder. Truly these are perilous times.
We, as Christians, must remember we have the greatest protective shield of all – God Himself. David wrote, The Lord is my shield and my stronghold. He knew that the Lord could keep Him secure in a hostile world. We, too, can know that same confidence. Even though Satan may attack us, and evil may surround us, the Lord is our Protector. He guards our way and keeps us safe as we walk in obedience to His will.
If you are frightened by circumstances or feel that the forces against you are too much, take heart.
Reflection—Be courageous, renew your trust in the Lord Who is your shield.
