Matthew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
Last night we closed out the special anniversary meeting in Cortez. We had a very large crowd, and many responded to the invitation, including several to receive Christ as Saviour. Praise the Lord for His blessings on our feeble efforts.
The Lord led me to challenge the Church to stay focused on the Great Commission that He gave the Church in Matt. 28. It is easy to get sidetracked with all that is going on around us—Church squabbles, personality issues, problems at home, work, and the world. Satan loves to see the Church focused on things other than the main issue of getting the Gospel out to this lost and dying world.
We must remember that Jesus loves all people. He loves the unlovable, those who are down and out, those who are cast off by society, those who are an offense to everyone. He also loves those who are popular, those who are elected officials, those who trust in their riches, and those who are hard honest workers. In other words, Jesus loves all people no matter their nationality, religion, skin color, or financial status.
Reflection—May God help us to stay focused on sharing the Gospel with all of those around us.
