Sphere of the Believer’s Life

John 14:20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
A recent study has helped me to see a correlation between the Themes of the Books of Romans through the Thessalonians with the spiritual progress believers have in the Lord Jesus.
Upon salvation, we are spiritually placed in the Lord Jesus Christ. This placement is like being in a sphere, not like being in a circle on the floor. In the plane of that circle, only our feet are in it. In the sphere of the Lord, we are completely surrounded and separated—head to toe, inside and out. All that we are and will ever be or need is IN HIM.
The theme of these Books are as follows:
- Romans – Sphere of Justification (3:28)
- Corinthians – Sphere of Sanctification (1st–1:2; 2nd–5:17)
- Galatians – Sphere of the Crucified Life (2:20)
- Ephesians – Sphere of Heavenly Presence (1:3)
- Philippians – Sphere of Joy & Satisfaction (4:6)
- Colossians – Sphere of Completeness (2:10)
- Thessalonians – Sphere of Final Triumph (1st–Rapture & 2nd–Revelation)
As we grow spiritually in the Lord, we obtain new levels of understanding, wisdom, strength and victory. We rejoice and glory in the Lord’s awesomeness more and more. We gain a new appreciation for the fullness of what He has accomplished for us in His blessed Atonement for us!
Not only does this pattern follow the development and growth as believers, but it also shows how directly the Holy Spirit was involved in the setting of the order of the Books of our Bible. Considering the number of years it took for this to take place, it truly is amazing!
Reflection—HE truly is amazing!
