Path of Life

Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

Many people today seem to be searching for a cause and a reason to exist. Young people are struggling to find direction while adults try to hold on to the hope of youth. Societal pressures weigh hard on important decisions and yet never satisfy.

God’s desire for our life is clear direction. The path of life that God has for us is not one of confusion and chaos but rather clarity. Proverbs 4:18, “But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.”

Looking at God’s Word, which is a lamp unto our feet and light unto our path, we find the plans He has for us. We do not have to wonder hopelessly, but rather we can open the Written Letter that He has given us for understanding.

Psalm 119:104 Through thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.

The complexities of life are a reflection of an absence of God’s Word. The closer we are to Him, the more clear the path of life is. The more we are in His Word, the more light we have to light the way. Each step we take in His path leads to joy and pleasures evermore.
