Ps 37:23-24 The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. 24 Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.
Springtime into summer brings change. Sometimes, this season involves a completion of school or work. Other times, the activities simply differ as the days get warmer and daylight lengthens. As farmers, this time of year is busy with planting and getting in the corn and soybean crop.
Ec 3:1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
During seasons of change in our lives, we make many decisions. These decisions can be overwhelming as we think through the pros and cons and the long-term effects of our choices.
However, we can find stability, rest, and peace in our Lord and know that we do not need to have everything figured out. We simply need to do what is right for today, and the Lord will take care of our path as we walk by faith. We just need to take the next right step and keep our eyes on the Lord.
Pr 16:9 A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.
Ps 119:59 I thought on my ways, and turned my feet unto thy testimonies.
For teenagers and young adults thinking through colleges and careers, for wives and mothers organizing and guiding our homes, and for ladies serving the Lord in our churches, we can trust our Saviour with our future. So whether that next step is a large, challenging new one or is a simple, routine one, let us decide to do right and trust the Lord with the outcome.
Ps 119:133 Order my steps in thy word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
Consider – Following the path of least resistance is the reason rivers and men go crooked.
