Lighthouse Children’s Homes – Mexico

The Bryans went to Mexico as church planting missionaries in 2002. The Lord blessed and used them to plant three churches, start a Bible literature distribution station, and a Bible College. In 2010, they started their Lighthouse Children’s Home by taking girls into their own home. A few years later, an addition was added to their house to make provisions for the increased number of girls the Lord had sent. By the grace of God, they present a beacon of hope in a dark and dim world. Many of these girls came from poor, unstable, and destitute situations and now have trusted the Lord Jesus, and are bearing spiritual fruit in their lives.

In 2015, the Lord allowed them to expand with a boys’ home. An old two-story restaurant was leased and renovated to house the boys, house parents, and the school. While this was a workable solution, it was limited in space, and there was nowhere for the boys to play. As this Home grew the need for a common facility was evident, and they began praying that God would provide.

In 2022, the Lord provided the resources and a building was constructed which allowed the boys and girls to be on the same piece of property. Not only was the building sufficient for future growth, it also provided a safe place for the children to be outside and play. The loving dorm parents and staff are making a difference in the lives of these children.

P.S. On April 2, 2025, Missionary Jonathan Bryan was suddenly taken home to Heaven by the Lord. It was such a sad shock to us all, but especially to his family and loved ones in the churches. Please continue to pray for Sister Laura and Wyatt as they move forward in the ministry without their beloved husband and father. For many of the children, Jonathan was the only father some of them had ever known. They loved him so much and deeply miss him. Your continued prayers are very much appreciated.
