Lighten Your Load

Psalm 55:22 Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

How foolish it is to carry our past and future cares and concerns around with us today! Cast them upon God by claiming His promise of forgiveness for the sins of yesterday and letting Him take care of all your tomorrows. Then live in the present.

In every trial let us call upon the Lord, and He will sustain us.  He shall hear us, and not blame us for coming too often—the more often, the more welcome. David had thought all were against him, but now he sees there were many with him, more than he supposed. And he gives the glory of this to God, for it is He that raises up faithful friends for each of us.

Reflection—Rejoice in the strength that God gives you for today. It will lighten your load!
