Heard From God Lately?

Job 33:14 For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not.
Elihu had a lot of right things to say, as he did in this verse. Sometimes God speaks multiple times, and we just don’t get it.
Scripture is its own evidence that God is eager to speak to us. He is far more interested in giving man the truth than man is in hearing it. Yet, He continues to speak for He is so very longsuffering.
God speaks through the Natural Revelation of Creation, and He thus reveals some things about Himself—so much so that it leaves man without excuse.
Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
Then, God speaks again through the Supernatural Revelation of Scripture. Though Creation Revelation may convict man that there is a God to Whom we will give account, it takes Scriptural Revelation, in particular the Gospel, for anyone to be saved.
Rom 1:16 …gospel of Christ…is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth…
Though God is speaking once and again, through Creation and the Gospel, often man perceiveth it not. By the grace of God, we must have ears to hear. Our minds must be turned to think about God, eternity, and life here, as well as, after. If one listens with a humble heart considering what God is saying, God will graciously give him understanding.
This listening may take place in or out of church; in or out of the home; in or out of our daily activities; in or out of our material and physical needs—through the Bible; through nature; through circumstances; through people; through events of life.
God speaks one way and then another. Do we have ears to ear? Heard from God lately?
Reflection—Warning. A man with ears may fail to hear.
