God’s Grace Is Sufficient

2 Corinthians 12:9 And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Paul had been greatly used of God to win the lost, start Churches, encourage Christians, and to teach young men how to pastor correctly. There is a danger in being used of God. A person could be tempted to become puffed up and prideful. Perhaps this was the reason that God allowed Paul to have a “thorn in the flesh” (v.7).
The “thorn” would keep Paul mindful that he was no better than other men. We must all be reminded that we are totally dependent on the Lord no matter what God has allowed us to accomplish – it is God Who should get the glory and not us. We are just His servants.
Yes, there will be trials, heartaches, and problems—but God’s grace is sufficient. No matter the need, the trial, or the situation, God’s grace is enough, ample, and adequate
Reflection—Paul’s messenger of Satan was as good for him as his guardian angel.
