God Has A Son

Proverbs 30:4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who hath established all the ends of the earth? what is his name, and what is his son’s name, if thou canst tell?
All the Book of Proverbs was written by Solomon except Proverbs 30. We know nothing about Agur other than what is written here—which simply means that we do not need to know anything else! But Agur’s questions are very interesting.
The Koran says that Allah does not have a son. However, the Bible says that God does have a Son. It took special revelation for us to know God’s Name, Jehovah, and to know His Son’s Name, Jesus. The point that Agur is making is that it takes the pure Word of God to know God. The very next verses take us to the Bible — Proverbs 30:5-6 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. 6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
Daniel tells us that Nebuchadnezzar saw that God has a Son. Daniel 3:25… Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.
Peter tells us that God has a Son. Matthew 16:16 …Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
Of course, Jesus did not BECOME God’s Son. He is the Eternally existing Son of God. Isaiah makes it clear that the child was born, but the Son is given — Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given….The Apostle John spoke of God’s Son as both given and begotten (John 3:16).
Yes, God does have a Son. Matthew 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
Reflection—Everybody loves Christmastime, but many reject God’s Son. How about you?
