Death Or Life

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
All of life’s problems and issues are explained in the verses of the Bible. Jesus makes a clear distinction that the thief wants to steal, kill, and destroy. Jesus Christ came that we might have life, and have it more abundantly. Every issue and problem this world has, goes back to a spiritual problem. In the very beginning, God divided the light from the darkness. The Bible says in 1 John 1:5 “…God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.”
The sooner we learn this truth, the better our lives will be. Marriage problems source from a spiritual problem; family issues have roots in a deeper spiritual battle. Every issue that we face today is a result of a spiritual battle taking place between the kingdom of darkness/death and the kingdom of light/life.
A trap our society falls into is treating symptoms and explaining away the deeper issue of sin. In order to have victory, we must first recognize this battle that has been taking place since creation. Once we recognize that every issue is a result of spiritual warfare, then we must choose which side we are to follow: life or death, light or darkness, victory or defeat.
After making the choice to walk in the light as He is in the light, we must not entangle ourselves with the cares of this life. The devil has snares to entangle God’s children with temporary, non-essential things of this life. Jesus Christ not only gives us life but gives it to us more abundantly. May we walk in the victory He has won and live an abundant life in the light.
Reflection—2 Timothy 2:4 No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
