Be A Giver

Matthew 5:41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

This is a life principle that goes against the thinking of this world.  Doing more than is required is not what most people do.  Jesus teaches His followers to do something far different than what the world teaches.  Going the second mile demonstrates the difference that Christ has made in our lives.

Our Saviour is the example when it comes to being a giver:

            He gave us this beautiful creation.

            He gave us physical life.

            He gave Himself that we might have salvation.

            He gives the gift of eternal life.

            He gives us gifts and opportunities to use for His honor and glory.

            He gives us a mansion in heaven.

When we receive Christ as Saviour, and He comes to live in our hearts, it only stands to reason that as we become more like Him—we will become GIVERS.

Reflection—Rather than resisting or resenting, be a volunteer.
