Hebrews 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
There are a lot of activities that we can be consumed with, but there is one that we need never to set aside—and that is Church attendance. The devil will fill your book of excuses as to why you don’t need to go to Church, and that is a book that needs to be tossed out. What we need are reasons to attend Church—So here are a few:
- It is commanded by the Lord
- We can worship the Lord without distractions (if we turn off our cell phone).
- We can grow as a Christian by hearing the Word of God taught and preached.
- We can participate in the singing of Gospel hymns.
- We can make ourselves available to those in need.
- Our faith will be strengthened as we seek God work in the invitation time.
- We can fellowship with other believers.
- We can spend time in prayer with others.
- We can get our armor polished up from last week’s battles.
- We can make decisions that affects our lives and the lives of others.
- We can bring a friend that needs the Lord.
- We can find a place of service in the House of God.
- We are also there to worship the Lord with our tithes and offerings.
…and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.
Reflection—We don’t know how much time is left before we depart this world, so we must be aggressive in assembling together for the work of the Lord and bringing the lost to Christ.
