After His Kind

Genesis 1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
My wife has several house plants. One is plant from South Africa belonging to the family of Aloe Brevifolia, as far as I can tell. It has never tried to bloom, until now. These plants rarely flower indoors. This one was placed in our window after Thanksgiving and now has sprouted a stem that is climbing up behind the blinds for almost two feet and producing flowers.
Removed from its natural habitat, in the wrong climate and the wrong time of year, it is trying to do what its DNA is programed to do. It is trying to reproduce “after his kind.” We showed it to our granddaughters and told them that biology is impossible to defeat. DNA is God’s creation, His design blueprint for all living things.
In Matthew chapter six, the Lord asks the question, “Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?” Thinking I am a six-foot eight inch basketball star will not make me one, no matter how hard I try. I can buy the latest Niki shoes, lose weight, practice, train and take protein shakes and be better than I am, but I cannot by sheer will transform myself into an NBA star.
A study by the CDC has shown that the percentage of gender dysphoria has increased in 18–24-year-olds; 422% from 2014 to 2023. This trend is tragic, destroying children physically, psychologically, and most of all, spiritually. Satan has blinded the minds of these precious children and those who have promoted the lies. But biology will not be defeated, it will eventually obey the Designer, but the sorrow caused by the Destroyer will continue.
May the Lord intervene and save our children. He loves them, every one of them, as should we.
Reflection—Something of one kind will never develop into something of another kind.
