A Child of The King

Galatians 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

When we receive Christ as our Savior, we become a child of the King of Kings. We become part of God’s family and have a Heavenly Father who loves us, meets our needs, and gives us of His riches.

2 Corinthians 6:18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

What an amazing privilege to be born into God’s family, and in adoption, be elevated to an adult heir! Since we belong to Him, we have the opportunity to enjoy His kingdom and its riches.

Romans 8:16-17 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

One treasure we can enjoy is the ability to have wisdom and knowledge found only through Christ.

Paul encouraged Christians in Colossians 2:2-3, “that their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.”

May we live as children of the King and value His riches more than anything this world has to offer.

Hebrews 11:26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

Reflection—The fashion and lusts of this world pass away, but those who belong to Christ Jesus will abide forever.
